Danielle Ate the Sandwich

Danielle Ate the Sandwich is the stage name of pop-folk songwriter, Danielle Anderson. Getting her start in Fort Collins, Colorado, Danielle has been touring nationally since 2009.. She’s known for her quirky lyrical twists, delivering witty and honest stage banter in her live shows.

Danielle Ate the Sandwich has 6 albums of original music and over 200 music videos on Youtube. She’s has made appearances internationally, opened for Mumford and Sons, Suzanne Vega, Pomplamoose and wrote the soundtrack to the Emmy nominated HBO documentary, “Packed in a Trunk: The Lost Art of Edith Lake Wilkinson.

Lil Rev

Born and bred in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with dual passions for music and education. he opted for the pragmatic route and earned a Bachelors Degree in Community Education from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. After college, Rev split his time as an educator and as an adjunct music historian and lecturer at The University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. 

Growing up the sights and sounds of Milwaukee’s industrial powerhouse in flux were an inspiration for his music, infusing it with strong esteem for the common man. It’s probably no surprise that his heroes include Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Josh White, Sonny Terry, Cicso Houston and Leadbelly. 

Mim

Every KYukefest starts out with a rousing performance from Mim. She gets the crowd going with her unique twist on vintage classics. No two performances are the same!

Petey Mack

Known for his jovial nature and irresistible dance moves, you won’t want to miss his group singalong, or the annual downtown ukulele flashmob.

Four String Fiasco

Jonathan Piercy will get your mojo working with his funky funky fresh ukulele stylings. Try to keep up as he thrashes down on covers and originals.

Tentative Schedule

Friday Night: Uke! Uke! Uke! Community choir and ukulele event. Join your ukulele friends and local choirs as we learn a simple performance piece. The final song will feature Danielle Ate the Sandwich and the performance will be taped for and released to social media.

Saturday: Choose from classes by our featured artists and local specialists. After a dinner break, return for a fantastic evening of music.

Sunday: More classes, the end of the silent auction, and drawings for donated instruments.

Our ukulele marketplace will be available throughout the weekend. Featuring: Mim’s Ukuleles and Mainland Ukuleles along with other musical items and accessories.
